SLURPING GOOD!

Enter the realm of our favourite comfort food, and experience how the ingredients play around in amusement. An attraction for all ages, Slurping Good! boasts a dual level playground themed around instant noodles. Bring out the inner kid in you, and traverse into a savoury world.

Mondays to Thursdays are currently closed off to the public, but it is business as usual for the rest of the week! The exhibit will also be closed during the Chinese New Year.

Mon - Thurs: Reserved Friday: 12pm - 8pm

Sat & Sun: 10am - 8pm

From now till 28 February 2022, you can indulge your senses at the price of $21 (early birds catches it at $19). Kids below the age of 3 get free admission! Get your tickets here.

At the entrance, you’ll be briefed on what to expect before entering.

Remember to be responsible, and keep your masks on at all times! (even when posing for shots)

Enter through a noodle curtain, into a slurping world.

There are a total of 13 exhibits placed in a small corner of Tekka Place. Let’s explore everything together.

The first thing(s) you see when you enter.

Seemingly the ‘in’ thing now for every gallery to have such an exhibit. Quickly whip out the phones and snap a photo before someone else comes in!

Look to the floor to find your pairing. We were greedy, we wanted everything.

Follow the right arrow and here is what we got.

A game of Tic-Tac-Toe, but instead of Team Xs VS Os, it's Team Coriander VS Team Nope, who will win? Team Nope definitely.

Following the sounds of bubbles bubbling, we had to be careful not to get snipped by overhanging crabs.

As pun lovers, these were very well received.

The crab stick presents another chance for a goofy shot!

Following the arrows at the start, this time go left.

We got to choose which style of eggs were our favourite and with everyone’s choices, which style was superior. Results were pretty even at that time.

I think the sunny side up will come out on top.

Behind the eggs was a gigantic “Instaham” for the purpose of, you guessed it, Instagram. Was a pretty backdrop with the neon lights placed strategically above your head when you sat on the (half) can of Instaham.

Now back to the start, follow the arrow that points straight.

Perhaps the cutest exhibit. Cheese is best eaten melted, the cheeky phrase up there is a perfect caption for this ingredient.

Say cheese!

On the other side of the cheese is a swing. Not the kind to get crazy high in, but just some gentle side to side. This short break before we explore further is appreciated.

It’s time to get creative, and fill in your dream flavours and ingredients into a wish list. Writing them on a card, hopefully they will fulfil my dreams of one day having chocolate flavoured instant noodles with hazelnut.

See that giant Tom Yam Seafood cup there, it’s time to add an extra ingredient.

Now that's better.

Right beside the improved cup noodle, is a mini-slide featuring one of my personal favourite series of instant noodles. 出前一丁! (Chu Qian Yi Ding). If anyone has yet to try this, you MUST try the sesame oil flavour.

You have come to the end of… Level 1. Another Instagrammable spot that looked like a dead-end. But look behind you.

It’s not over indeed, head up the stairs.

Leading up to a colourful store with many cute, albeit pricey, merchandise for sale.

At the store you can order some noodles if the exhibits had tickled your appetite.

The admission tickets come with 2 free toppings. We got to customise it with stickers and add whatever we like within the menu. Of course the more we added, the higher the price. Head over to Eatbox right beside this exhibition to taste test your own concoction.

Probably the most admirable exhibit is the Nissin wall of fame. We dubbed it as that because it shows everything (we believe) that Nissin and her sister brands have to offer. I am proud to say in my years, I have tried everything shown here.

With the admission, you are eligible to redeem a goodie bag. We had to cross a road to the other side of Tekka Place’s basement to redeem it. The contents of the goodie bag were rather underwhelming: 1 packet (serving) of instant noodle and a $0.50 discount voucher for a cup of bubble tea (Kung Fu Tea). It is worth noting you can redeem the bubble tea discount instantly as it is located just a few yards away from the redemption area.

We think Slurping Good to be a very interesting way to explore our favourite comfort food. However, for its price, it is quite a bit for a small exhibition. We would recommend going for it, just once is enough though. It definitely is capable of providing quirky photos for your Instagram feed. Till then, stay safe.

Take note that this exhibit ends on 28th February 2022, be quick about it, there is not much time enter the noodle realm.
